The QEC has organized the Awareness Seminar on "QAA Post Graduate Program Review" for the Faculties of Pharmacy and Law, in order to maintain the minimum quality standards of the QAA-HEC for the Post Graduate Program at University of Karachi. The seminar was held on 24 February 2020 at 3 pm in the Auditorium of Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Karachi.
January 2020

The Quality Enhancement Cell, University of Karachi in its intellectual capacity of work, working on the broad spectrum of quality, academia, administration and collaboration with the internal and external mode of deliverables. In this regard, QEC in collaboration with Department of Economics and the Office of the Director Finance, University of Karachi and HEC has planned a book launching ceremony namely “Palgrave Studies in the History of Economic thought- Making sense of JOAN Robinson on China” on Friday 24 January 2020 at Arts Auditorium, University of Karachi, 10 am to 1 pm.
November 2019
- An interactive session on "SWOT and KPIs-Relevance with QAA Post Graduate Program Review" was held on 13 November 2019. Mr. Jawaid Akram, Deputy Director QEC, has given a Key Note address in the session. Faculty members from different departments of the University of Karachi was attended the session.
October 2019
- An interactive session on "HEC- ePortal Regarding Degree Attestaion, and HEC Approved Supervisor" was held on 30 October 2019, Mr. Jawaid Akram, Deputy Director QEC, and Mr. Burhan-ul-Haq from Office of the QEC, UoK have given the brief presentation covering the issues related to the topic. Faculty members from different departments of the University of Karachi was attended the session.
August 2019
- An awareness sessions on "QAA Post Graduate Program Review" was also held on 27 August 2019 for the Departments of Faculty of Science, UoK.
- An Important session on "QAA Post Graduate Program Review" was also organized on 7 August 2019 for the departments of Faculty of Pharmacy, UoK.
July 2019
- Another session on "QAA Post Graduate Program Review" was also held on 30 July 2019 for the departments fall under the umbrella of Faculty of Social Sciences, UoK.
- In continuation of Previous session held on 11 July 2019 on the "QAA Post Graduate Program Review", another session was also organized on 23 July 2019, specially targeted for the Faculty of Islamic Studies,; and Faculty of Management & Administrative Sciences, UoK.
- The QEC has organized the Awareness Session on "QAA Post Graduate Program Review" under the guidance of QAA-HEC in order to attain the minimum quality standards of the QAA-HEC for the Post Graduate Program at University of Karachi. The session was held on 11 July 2019 in the Vice Chancellor's Secretariat of the University.
April 2019
- The QEC has organized the Regional Awareness Session in collaboration with the Nazeer Hussain University Karachi on " Quality Assurance & Quality Practices" at Nazeer Hussain University on 25th April 2019. The Director QEC, UoK presented the concept of Quality Assurance in Higher Education and share his experience on the subject in order to follow the Quality Assurance Mechanism at the Nazeer Hussain University.
- The QEC has organized an awareness seminar on "Good Practices in Audit and Accounts" on 15th April 2019. The DG Audit, Pakistan gave guidelines and recommendation to overcome the difficulties regarding the proper utilization of University grants and funds according to the international practices and standards; further he shared the valuable suggestions to streamline the accounts and audit with the quality criterions.
- The Director, QEC attended the 25th Meeting of QEC Heads to discuss the progress of QEC's, organized by the HEC, 1-2 April 2019, Islamabad.
February 2019
- The QEC-Uok has conduct the joint-session with NED University of Engineering & Technology Karachi on “Quality Assurance and Practices” on 26th February 2019. Professionals in their fields from other public sector universities were invited.
March 2018
- The Director, QEC attended the 24th Meeting of QEC Heads to discuss the progress of QEC's, organized by the HEC, 21-22 March 2018, Islamabad.
November 2016
- The Director, QEC conducted a presentation on 'Self Assessment Report" in the meeting held on 31st October 2016 at Department of Public Administration, University of Karachi.

- Meeting was held with the Programmme Team of Department of Food Science and Technology to discuss SAR to be prepared for the M.Phil and Ph.D Programmme being offered at the Department. The meeting was held at Office of the Quality Enhancement Cell on 19 May 2016.
- Meeting was held with the Programmme Team of Department of Mass Communication to discuss SAR to be prepared for the M.Phil and Ph.D Programmme being offered at the Department. The meeting was held at Office of the Quality Enhancement Cell on 17 May 2016.

- A lecture on Criterion-2 of SAR has been given by the Director QEC-University of Karachi in the training session organized by Dow University of Health Sciences, Ojha Campus, Karachi on 13 April 2016.

- A delegation from Newport University visit Quality Enhancement Cell, University of Karachi on 16th June 2015. The Director, QEC gave a brief about the Self Assessment Programme at the University of Karachi.
